Volunteer Positions
Activities Director
Activities at Camp Courage aren't to keep campers busy but to instill confidence, team work as well as having fun and excitement. Activities Director is a fun position with lots of hard work that will collaborate with the Director to meet the purposes and mission of camp.
Administrative Assistant
An Administrative Assistant is needed to aid camp staff in meeting obligations to parents, campers, and staffers. A friendly, detail person capable of being a camp liason.
Aquatics Lifeguard
A safe swim at camp is ensured by the Aquatics Supervisor/Lifeguard. Must be 21 or older to oversee the safety of all swim areas including waterfront. Aquatics Lifeguards are needed to ensure safety of all campers at swimming locations. Must be 17 or older and able to act quickly, be authoritative and responsible.
Assistant Team Leader
Connecting with kids, being a good example and being available are good qualities of an Assistant Team Leader. Enthusiasm is a must for an Assistant and this job is recommended for ages 16-18.
Assistant to the Director
A great chance to gain experience in camp directing is the Director's Assistant. Strong organizational skills are needed.
Camp Nurse
The Camp Nurse provides minor medical care to students when needed. Caring, compassion and credentials are a must.
Camp Store Concession
Fun at the Concession/Camp Store is had by all in the afternoon. Outgoing, kind, hard working and able to calculate math.
Certified Challenge Course Instructor
The Certified Challenge Course Instructor needs specialized training and experience. It is also important to be caring and understand the benefit of encouragement, helping each student to meet their challenges and reach their full potential.
Childcare Leader for Volunteer Children
The Childcare Leader provides childcare to the adult volunteers who need it. We want these younger kids to have a good time while their mom or dad is volunteering.
Kitchen Volunteer
A fun and rewarding environment at camp is the Kitchen. Kitchen Staff rotate to alleviate the demand. Able to meet the needs of campers hungry tummies with a smile. Food handlers permit will be provided. Kitchen Assistants are also needed and can be ages 15 or older.
Kitchen Staff Assistant
The importance of kitchen staff cannot be overstated. Kitchen Staff Assistant rotate to alleviate the demand. Able to meet the needs of campers hungry tummies with a smile. Kitchen Assistants are also needed and can be ages 15 or older.
Musician Singer
Enthusiasm and memorable moments are created by the band at camp. Musicians/Singers are needed and must be able to prepare weeks before camp on their own. Able to work with others and foster unity.
Production Crew
A behind the scenes Production crew (Audio/Visual) is vital to the fluidity of camp meetings. This job contributes to the excitement and relevancy of camp. A good quality to have is the ability to multi-task.
Security Safety
When talking with parents and their needs for campers the number one response is Safety and Security. This is a trusted position for the person who has the heart of a loving parent, vigilent, caring, with wisdom and commen sense is needed.
Team Leader
The Team Leader is a rewarding job for a good listener, who can show friendship within proper relational boundaries. Persons 18 and older who can lead a young person in spiritual growth, building character, and watch for their safety (physically and emotionally) are good candidates for this position.
